Welcome to the home of the Association of Vermont Independent Colleges, a state-wide coalition of sixteen colleges and universities that collectively serve thousands of students from all over the world in our associate, baccalaureate, and graduate level programs in a wide variety of disciplines.
AVIC colleges also make a strong positive economic impact on the towns, villages and cities in which we are located throughout this beautiful, mountainous, environmentally friendly state in the northern New England region of the United States of America.
Our members range in size from under one hundred students to several thousand. We serve the students and the public in proactive, innovative, cost-effective ways by working together and with others to strengthen and advance higher education at the state, local, regional and national levels.
